Permanently Delete Files, Folders with FolderShredder

If you are privacy conscious then you probably already know that using the default file and folder deletion methods are not a guarantee that the data is actually wiped out - there are remnants, potentially recoverable remnants. Making sure that you totally rid your system of these leftovers is why FolderShredder was designed.

FolderShredder is a portable shredding utility for permanently deleting files with multiple overwrites, encryption, renaming and shrinking to ensure that your target data is unrecoverable.

It takes over where your Windows leaves off since simply emptying the recycle bin is not a secure way to permanently get rid of data or protect your privacy, you need more. Folder Shredder steps in to rewrite them in binary mode, shrink them down, rewrite them another time, then encrypt, rename and ultimately delete those files into obscurity. All this is accomplished with one click.

You have two options for the interface, a black and white skin, both with the same functionality. When the shredding has been completed, you can view the details of the procedure; this is also where you will be notified in the event the file you have selected, for whatever reason, can't be overwritten, etc.
