Snipaste provides you with a robust snipping tool that includes captured screen editing and more.

MajorGeeks friend, Kleinkinstein, recommended it and is a devout Greenshot user but also enjoys the additional functions provided by this tool.

When using Snipaste, both captured images, and various clipboard content can easily be rendered to the desktop as floating windows. Any of these windows can be moved, organized into groups, and saved to files. Any created result can easily be saved as a PNG, JPG, and BMP files, or if you prefer to have it closer at hand, you can send it right to the clipboard for quick use when you need it. You can also perform a myriad of basic functions while utilizing Snipaste, like rotation, zoom, translucence, etc.

Snipaste will also grab colors, supports multiple themes, auto detects UI elements, has a history playback function, and includes multi-screen and HiDP (retina display) support.
