Tom's Hash Explorer Quickly Calculates Hash Values
By Timothy Tibbetts |
Tom's Hash Explorer is a nice little tool that will help you calculate single or multi-file cryptographic hash values. It is contained within a fast Explorer-like interface which makes using it very familiar and easy.

Tom's Hash Explorer comes equipped with a multi-threaded computation engine that allows for the calculation using the most common industry standard algorithms such as MD5, SHA-1, SHA 256, 384, and 512. It also uses Shannon’s Entropy Algorithm to calculate file entropy. You have the ability to save hash values to a text file or copy them to your clipboard allowing for easy importation for whitelisting applications for instance. Or take advantage of the supported export compatibility through Comma Separated Values Files (CSV), Rich Text Format (RTF), Adobe Acrobat Portable Document Format (PDF), and Microsoft Excel (XLS).
It also fully supports drag and drop of files making it fast and simple to calculate files on the fly.
