Globe was only discovered at the end of August 2016 so it is a relatively new strain of ransomware on the block.

With this particular ransomware the encrypted file extension is configurable making multiple extension manifestations possible but .purge, .globe and .okean-1955@india.com.!dsvgdfvdDVGR3SsdvfEF75sddf#xbkNY45fg6}P{cg.xtbl. seem to be the most prevalent. At this time there is not a concrete delivery method known. One interesting tidbit is that Globe will essentially hide if you are working on a virtual machine staying cloaked until a real-time machine is detected before attacking.
