MajorGeek says: Sometimes removing malware can be difficult due to locked files or folders. While you can boot into safe mode in most cases, that’s not a 100% guarantee as any tech knows. When you have this problem, GrantPerms is a portable tool that can be used to check permissions as well as unlock multiple files and folders. It requires that you enter the full path to the file or folder command line style (C:\folder namefilename) so your best bet is to just scan a folder rather than a single file for simplicity. Drag and drop would have been a nice feature in this program but it gets the job done.
 
There are both 32-bit and 64-bit versions of GrantPerms available in the download.
