TempleOS is a multi-tasking, multi-cored, public domain, open source, ring-0-only, single-address-map (identity-mapped), non-networked, PC operating system geared for recreational programming.

It brings back the good things back from when computers were simple and owners actually programmed them.

TempleOS uses all 16 CPU 64-bit registers to keep it modern, and it also makes it easy for hobbyists to produce games. TempleOS is designed as a supplemental O.S., meaning that you will use another operating system for your primary one because you won't be unable to access the Internet and with the simplifications, there are no protections provided preventing crashes when mistakes are made. The protections were sacrificed to make it fast.

TempleOS supports MultiCore and boasts the best command-line on the planet, allowing links and graphics to be output directly from programs straight to the command line. One document format for source code, help, menu´s, forms, command line which supports graphics, links, macro´s, trees and more, seamlessly supported by clipboard, compiler, and tools.

This download is an .ISO file which you will need to burn to a CD/DVD. You can boot it directly or it can be run in VMware or VirtualBox directing the CD/DVD drive at TempleOSCD.ISO.
