11% of Users Still Clinging to XP

Are you one of the 11% that is still running XP? Eset is urging such users to upgrade their systems.

Eset reported today that although it has been two years since Microsoft ended support of XP, there are still those who are still holding on the outdated operating system.

The numbers are declining since April 8, 2014 when the market share was 27.7 percent. But the report also explains that with the OS now no longer getting updates, it could easily fall victim to exploitable zero-day vulnerabilities. Moreover, other software vendors such as Google Chrome are also jettisoning the platform.

XP is not the only platform that is no longer supported. Microsoft also ended support for all of its older versions of Internet Explorer.
