14 Million Computers now Running Windows 10

Posted by: Timothy Weaver on 07/31/2015 10:59 PM [ comments Comments ]

News out of Palo Alto, California is that Windows 10 is now running on more than 14 million computers just two days after its release.

Microsoft has stated that its aim is to have Windows 10 running on a billion devices within three years. But it is sticking with its policy of releasing the upgrade in waves to affect its stability.

Microsoft said it has not yet delivered Windows 10 to everyone who requested a free upgrade for computers running older Windows versions. But it did say that part of the 14 million includes new purchases.

Reaction has been mostly favorable and is seen as an improvement over its last version of Windows 8.
