16 Year Old Wipes Out 444 School Websites

A 16 year old Japanese school student launched a DDoS attack against the Osaka Board of Education which resulted in the crash of 444 school websites.
The teenager is facing charges for obstruction of business. It was the first time that a Japanese local government was attacked.
According to Japan Today, the teen said that he launched the attack to tell the teachers "of their own incompetence."
The teen also stated that he wanted to join the hacking group Anonymous and that he did not know that the attack would take out all 444 school websites.
The miscreant faces the possibility of up to three years in prison and a 500,000 yen fine.
