Michael Wekerle, described as a “rock star in the world of Canadian finance,” pulled into a gas station to fill up his brand new, first in Canada, Porsche 918 Spyder - after he began filling up a witness states that there was a loud noise and then a Million dollar bonfire ignited.
After initiating an “emergency stop” which killed power to the gas pumps, he ran out to help the driver extinguish the fire, he said.

One user's comment summed it up for me: "Huh. I've pumped thousands of gallons of fuel into 300 dollar beaters and never had a fire. Sounds like Porsche needs to hire an engineer or two." Maybe even 3!
No one was hurt in the incident.
