Want an easy $200,000? Hack a Nexus 6P and 5X.
Google is offering the prize to anyone who can hack both the Nexus phones using only the devices' phone number and email address. It's deemed Project Zero Security Contest.
To win, the hacker must open an email in Gmail or an SMS text in Messenger. No other interaction is allowed. The object is to find a flaw in both systems, however, it can be a unique flaw in one system as long as another unique flaw is found in the other.
The prizes are as follows: $200,000, while the second place winner will get $100,000. Third prize is worth at least $50,000. A technical report is required describing their entry, which will then be featured on the Project Zero blog.
