The dream wedding was staged on a luxury yacht complete with tuxedo rentals, no expense was spared on the nuptials. The only problem is that the credit card holder was not the one lavishing in style.
A woman who bought a $60 Groupon voucher to have her carpet cleaned wound up being charged for the extravagant wedding after her card number was stolen in an apparent scam and is now being sued by the yacht company for payment.
Groupon is a popular deal-of-the-day website that offers discounts on local businesses in your area.
According to reports, the day of the scheduled carpet cleaning, the victim told deputies a woman named "Melinda" showed up. "Melinda" told the victim that she still owed sales tax because Groupon forgot to add it.
The victim was told to call the company so the sales tax could be charged to her card. She did as advised, and that's when she says bizarre charges began to show up.

According to reports, a few miscellaneous charges from the carpet cleaning company showed up initially. However, the victim didn't know there were other charges pending that would show up on next month's bill.
Those included airfare to Miami, tuxedo rentals and a $15,000 yacht rental used to host a wedding.
"It's not every day someone has a credit card stolen and used to put on a wedding. I haven't seen anything through Groupon or any coupon thing such as this," said fraud specialist Beth Schell.
The victim would not talk because she's in a lawsuit with the yacht company. Since the wedding took place, Biscayne Lady Yacht Charters wants to be paid for the rental use.
According to reports, she told the company her credit card had been stolen, but she never filed a report with the sheriff's office.
Fraud specialists say if this happens to you, file a report right away.
