3,651,570 free eBooks should keep you busy for a while

How would you like access to 3,651,570 free eBooks? And that’s just the start! The 3,651,570 number was a rough count of what I saw on the websites listed below, not counting the library links, so in reality 3,651,570 is just the beginning.

When you think of e-books, odds are you automatically head to one of the big players like Amazon, Google or Apple. Attempting to search for free e-books returns a list of thousands of websites who track free e-books available, mostly on Amazon. It’s exhausting. There’s a wealth of websites out there where you can download free e-books, often in multiple formats for your Kindle app or reading on your computer or mobile devices. Here are direct links to some of my favorites. Bookmark this page for future reference.

1: Amazon.com offers 570 or more free classic titles.

2: Archive.org a library card and 2.5 million+ books should keep you busy.

3: DigiLibraries.com offers books for purchase as well as 20,000 free eBooks.

4: Feedbook.com features Erotica and LGBT alongside Christian and poetry. NSFW. I counted roughly 6,000+ free eBooks.

5: Free-eBooks.net is another site with a good listing format including new, top 10 and featured.

6: Goodreads.com a hige eBook list site with links to a claimed 750 million eBooks both free and for sale.

7: Google.com has a list of their top free eBooks.

8: HundredZeros.com has a nice collection of free eBooks sorted by category and easy to navigate.

9: ManyBooks.net oddly enough does not have as “many” as the others but over 29,000 is still a lot. Look by title, author or even most popular.

10: OpenLibrary.org, another million books. Account required.

11: OverDrive.com lets you borrow eBooks from your local library. They have their own app as well for reading and audiobooks.

12: Project Gutenberg.org has been around for a long time and offers over 45,000 eBooks.

13: Smashwords.com has over 40,000 free eBooks and over 300,000 for purchase.
