3 Free Tools For Monitoring and Cleaning PC Memory

There are many tools for performing memory maintenance on your PC some are shareware some are freeware - some are good and some are not. We have a trio of tools new to MajorGeeks that fit the free and good bill for checking and cleaning the memory on your machine with little fuss, all are are very light on system resources - check them out and if they are not what you need don't forget to head over to the memory sub-category and check out the other tools we have listed.
MemoryCleaner uses functions already built into Windows to free memory with no impact on your system.
You can also access Memory Cleaner functions right from your systray without having to open up the program. The cleaning procedures are both silent and the only time you will see an alert is to show the amount of RAM recovered briefly.

Trims processes' working set.
Clears system cache.
Monitors RAM usage and reports minimum, maximum and average (true average, not (min+max)/2).

Memory Viewer permits you to easily view your system's memory configuration.
Once you run Memory Viewer it will display the physical location on the motherboard, channel, dimm number, device type, bank locator, synchronous type, dimm factor, chip size, memory speed, total width, manufacturer, serial number, asset tag, and part number as well as providing the type of memory: SDRAM, DDR, etc.
This easy-to-use tool will save you some time by quickly giving you detailed information pertaining to the installed memory cards including the current memory allocation.

My Memory Monitor is a lightweight portable utility for monitoring physical memory usage in real time.
You have the option to view it straight from the systray as well as on screen. Additionally, you will be able to view the top processes using up the most RAM by right clicking on the window or on the systray icon.
