A release of methane gas from 90 cows at a farm in Germany caused an explosion which damaged the roof of the shed the bovines were housed in, one cow was partially cooked.....
The injured cow was treated for (medium rare) burns but is expected to survive.
According to the statement from police obtained by the Independent, high levels of the methane gas had built up within the structure in the central German town of Rasdorf on Monday thanks to animals belches and flatulence, before "a static electric charge caused the gas to explode with flashes of flames."
Emergency crews checked the area to make sure that there was not any lingering gas lurking around the property.
