After the death of Robin Williams his family, understandably so, requested some privacy in order to grieve this heartbreaking loss.
In the final result after the picture made the social media rounds, ABC released this statement: “When we realized there was no news value to the live stream, we took it down immediately. Our intention was not to be insensitive to his family, friends and fans, and for that we apologize.”
