ABC reporter's car stolen on camera (Video)

Posted by: Jon Ben-Mayor on 02/01/2014 08:18 AM [ comments Comments ]

The ABC 7 reporter was setting up his equipment in Sarasota, FL., to do a story on a how an 91 year old woman was scammed out of her deposit money from a property rental.

The featured residence was supposed to have 11 bedrooms, but according to the ABC 7 report, it turns out that due to some code violations the home now only has five bedrooms.

She wanted her money back but was told no, even though it was in her contract that she was entitled to it. So ABC was doing a follow up on the alleged deposit money scam.

As the reporter began setting up his camera, this woman appeared and began yelling for him to leave. When he didn't - she jumped in his car and drove off. The owner of the property claims she does not work for him, but checks in on the home from time to time.

The State Attorney's office is reviewing the case to determine if the woman will be charged with grand theft auto.
