The Arvada, Colorado Police Department is warning of a scam involving bogus airline ticket vouchers that are being offered on Facebook.
The fraudulent Frontier Airlines vouchers are being sold on the "Arvada Family Buy/Sell/Trade" Facebook site.
The vouchers are being sold to help pay bills. $200 vouchers are being offered for $100. If you fall victim to this scam, you will find that the vouchers are already redeemed.
Charles Harder purchased the fake vouchers, called Frontier Airlines and found they were authentic numbers. Two days later when we went to book the flights they were all used already.
A Frontier Airlines spokesman told 7NEWS ticketing is done electronically -- so paper tickets should raise a red flag.
Meanwhile, Southwest Airlines says beware of a Facebook promotion offering free tickets. Southwest says it would not offer that type of giveaway on Facebook.
