Amazon shows the first Playstation 4 orders sold out

According to the Amazon website they have sold out of the Playstation 4 launch edition. That’s the edition that you can get before Christmas. The Standard Edition shows still available but that won’t ship until an estimated December 31st.
Of course, these numbers can always be wrong because they tend to be based on estimates. If more units become available, then they might show back up. Either way, the point here is that is you want a Playstation 4 or even an Xbox One then you might want to get it pre-ordered with sites like Best Buy or GameStop.
We remember these selling for a premium many years back when supply ran out and, silly people like me I admit, paid top dollar to get one. As long as I can play GTA V this time around I am in no rush.
