Amazon to End Amazon Drive Service in 2023

Amazon Drive, their competitor to Google Drive and Dropbox with be shutting in 2023.
If you are an Amazon Drive user, you will be getting a mail - if not already - that Amazon will discontinue its service as of the end of 2023. This is semi-surprising as the product works well - albeit not remarkable, and it's not like Amazon has a shortage of technical ability, space, and know-how with the dominance of AWS -- but I'm sure they have their reasons.
Accorid to the Amazon FAQ they are discontinuing Drive to focus on Amazon Photos and provide a dedicated product just for that.
To that end, they warn that if you have videos and photos stored in your Amazon Drive, do not delete them. The accounts for Drive and Photos are tied together, and deleting photos and video items from Drive will also delete the photos and videos from Amazon Photos.
Any items you do delete will be moved to the trash and permanently deleted in 30 days.
The Amazon Drive App will be removed from the Play and App stores beginning January 2023. However, you have until December 31. 2023 to find an alternative cloud backup solution.
