Another cool feature that has been showcased at Google I/O is for the Android; it aims to make the device more user friendly to people with blindness or low-visibility. It was showcased during the “Enabling Blind and Low-Vision Accessibility on Android” presentation.

PhoneArena.com notes that the engineers at Google have essentially boiled down the process into five steps for developers to augment their code to allow Android to use its accessibility features which utilize either spoken feedback (TalkBack) or enable connected devices provide a legible description for a blind person to read by using a Braille emulator (BrailleBack).

BrailleBack is an app for the Android Accessibility Service that helps blind users make use of braille devices. It works together with the TalkBack app to give a combined braille and speech experience.

TalkBack is already a part of the Android operating system, and BrailleBack is available in the Google Play store, incorporating itself with the accessibility settings.
