'Angry Bird' attempts to kidnap kids in PA

Posted by: Jon Ben-Mayor on 04/08/2014 07:06 AM [ comments Comments ]

A man dressed in an 'Angry Bird' character costume attempted to abduct some children at the Keyser Oaks Shopping Center in Scranton, PA., the bird asked the kids if they wanted a ride in his angry car. The children declined the ride using their L-factor.

Police Lt. Marty Crofton described the suspect as an older man with glasses, he had a large belly - at one point he was spotted inside a grocery store reading magazines. No one thought it odd that a giant 'Angry Bird' was perusing the exotic bird section rack?

The Mail Online contacted Gerrity's Grocery Store and spoke with employees who were working on Friday night.

One employee, who wished to remain anonymous, said that she was working at the register when another employee said, "hey do you see that man dressed like an angry bid's character over there?"

They both observed the man dressed in costume and found it funny but "didn't think anything of it" until they heard about the incident in the paper the next day.
