Anonymous backs off releasing names of Canadian suspects

Anonymous had vowed to expose the attackers of Rehtaeh Parsons, a Halifax teen who committed suicide.

As you remember the group was successful in exposing several Ohio high school students for the same type of situation. Sadly this time the victim was unable to cope with the humiliation and attempted to take her own life. She was removed from life support at the request of her family on April, 7th.

Anonymous posted a press release outlining points that they had uncovered, some of that information, which allegedly includes screenshots of a confession have been forwarded to the RCMP.

Anonymous decided that they would not release the names of the suspects at this time to show respect to the family in the their time of mourning. Anonymous released this statement to the public on Thursday: “We feel that honoring the Parsons’ wishes while they lay their daughter Rehtaeh to rest is the respectful thing to do."

The group will show respect at this time, but make no mistake as outlined in their press release they still reserve the option to release the names in the future, or better said "expect us".
