Anonymous starts Operation Free Korea

Anonymous has now set its sights on North Korea by attacking Uriminzokkiri, which is a China based propaganda site that works for the North's state media.

The hacktivist group has been busy lately with OpIsrael , and is now fully engaged with Operation Free Korea which is hitting multiple social media sites.

The attack has specifically hit the Twitter and Flickr accounts of Uriminzokkiri. The hacked twitter account had various tweets saying "tango down" and "hacked" as seen in the below image.

While the Flickr account had multiple not so flattering images of Kim Jong-un posted, including a wanted poster seen in part below.

This attack comes on the heels of growing nuclear breakdown from the North which include the relocation of missile batteries , and intercepted chatter of a possible launch and or attack against U.S. interests.

Other sites have been hit as well including the website of Air Koryo, which has only been up and running with online booking since last year, effectively taking them offline.

The BBC News speculates on the reliability of the details and suspects the Air Koryo site has been hit with a Distributed Denial of Service attacked (DDoS) - a technique which involves flooding a website with too much traffic for it to handle.
