We have heard rumors of a budget iPhone and are expecting it to be smaller and have less features with the same build quality of its big brother. Now Techdy has built a knock-off, which you might see reported on other sites as the real iPhone Mini. If these guys really have the leaked phone, it would be the largest leak in Apple's history.
What I really see here is an attempt to sell a knockoff called the Basic Bear based on what is known about the iPhone Mini and it actually runs Android Jelly Bean.
Here’s what they ACTUALLY say about it:
"Based on the design of Apple’s budget iPhone, we have made an Android version called the Basic Bear. It rocks a 4 inch display (1136 x 640), 1.7GHz quad-core Snapdragon 600 CPU, 2GB of RAM, 16GB storage, 8 megapixel rear camera with LED flash, 2 megapixel camera w/ 1080p HD video recording, Qi-wireless charging expansion slot, 2300 mAh battery, Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, and much more. The best part? It costs just $199, and comes in 5 colors. For more information, feel free to visit our Techdy store."
We won't provide a link to their store because expect Apple will shut them down long before the expected ship date of September, 2013. Since we have never heard of this website, I certainly wouldn't give them a dime. Another oversight would be that if they DO have the iPhone Mini in hand then it's already set for production and could be in stores before their little Android knock-off. At $199 we would assume the smaller iPhone will also be in that price range.
