Apple is looking to have a huge sales quarter thanks to the popularity of its iPhone 6.

According to Dominic Sunnebo, strategic insight director at Kantar, Apple is on track for a "record quarter" thanks to strong sales of its iPhone 6. The Cupertino tech giant experienced a "huge jump" in sales across all major markets thanks to the launch of its latest handset.
Sunnebo said: "In major European economies, the U.S. and Australia, Apple's share of sales has risen. This success is particularly evident in Great Britain, where Apple now has its highest ever share of sales with 39.5 percent. Most of these sales were driven by loyal Apple users. Some 86 percent of British buyers upgraded from an older iPhone model, only 5 percent switched across from Samsung."
In the meantime, Android still dominates in the U.S., accounting for 53.8 percent of the market, while iOS takes second place with 41.5 percent. Windows phone comes in third with only 3.6 percent of the market.
