As we wait for Apple to show off larger screens (last we heard that would be in August), years behind the competition, we now have the official announcement of iOS 8 from Apple’s WWDC 2014.
According to BGR the newest platform for iPhones and iPads has brought a host of changes including the highly anticipated HealthKit feature that will integrate fitness features for its expected iWatch. Other key features included in iOS 8 are an interactive notification center that lets you more easily access your messages and respond directly from notifications.
The new update also added some improvements to emails on iOS, such as the ability to swipe email drafts down without deleting them so you can get access to other messages in your inbox. Still waiting for a spam filter myself.
The App Store also gets an update supposedly making it easier to find apps.
Homekit will allow you to control things like your thermostat in your home.
You can keep up with WWDC 2014 at https://developer.apple.com/wwdc/ which runs from June 2nd through June 6th. With 3 more days to go we are hoping for the larger screen announcement and possibly iPhone 6 before its over. Perhaps the phone will launch in August instead of announce in August. They needed this done a year ago.
