Armor for android is a pricy scam

Posted by: Timothy Weaver on 09/16/2014 10:22 AM [ comments Comments ]

Armor for Android is a scam. Blue Coat researchers tore the app apart and found that it contains 11 tools. Things like a "battery extender" which merely turns down your screen brightness and even a dubious antivirus scanner.

It suggests that you pay 99cents per day for the app. A year ago it was a dollar a week. Either way, it is not worth it. You should stick with proven anti-virus apps such as avast! Mobile Security & Antivirus and Bitdefender Mobile Security and Antivirus.

What takes the cake is that the app requires that you deactivate your Android's baseline protection against malicious apps.
