Avast surveys Smartphone users, finds inadequate protection

AVAST's recent survey found that people aren't adequately protecting their mobile devices.

• Ten percent admitted that their smartphone was either lost or stolen within the last 12 months.

• Eighty percent of the participants are concerned about losing their data.

• 34 percent don't have anti-theft or anti-virus installed.

• And 50 percent of those surveyed don't back up their mobile data.

It further found that men are slightly more likely than women ( by 4% ) to get malware on their phones.
