Oregon police say a man robbed the Home Federal Bank two weeks ago using a note to demand money.
The "note" was actually a grocery receipt that had the last four digits of the mans food stamp account. State records provided a name to go with the account number. Plus an online search came up with a pawn shop transaction with a telephone number.
The service provider came up with the coordinates of the phone and local police arrested 54-year-old Robert Short.

Short denied the charges, but police informed him that the black stocking cap that he was wearing at the time of the robbery had his DNA on it. It was found at the scene when he struggled with a bank customer during the robbery.
