If you want the definition of irony all you need to do is wait for the latest Google story. You have heard about the Google Glass here numerous times mostly because it’s a unique, different gadget but you also are starting to hear about places who will be banning the device including Caesars Palace, the first casino to ban Google Glass.
Now we have, you guessed it, Google blocking Google Glass from their shareholders meeting.
The rules state that "Cameras, recording devices, and other electronic devices, such as smart phones, will not be permitted at the meeting. Photography is prohibited at the meeting," instructions for Thursday's 2013 annual meeting of Google shareholders in California said.
CNBC reports that non-profit organization Consumer Watchdog called Google executives hypocrites for the restrictions.
"Google has unleashed one of the most privacy invasive devices ever," John M. Simpson, privacy project director at Consumer Watchdog, said in a press release.
Google was unavailable for comment when contacted by CNBC.
Glassholes.
