BitCoin transactions harder to trace with Dark Wallet

Posted by: Timothy Weaver on 05/01/2014 02:24 PM [ comments Comments ]

A Bitcoin wallet has been launched that the developers hope will make it more difficult to trace transactions using the digital currency.

Using both encryption and CoinJoin technology, Dark Wallet is a browser app for bitcoin payments.

Dark Wallet offers anonymous transactions by default.

The backers wrote: “Bitcoin is the next battle ground in the fight against supranational political domination. It’s just money laundering software."

The Dark Wallet Alpha extension can be loaded into a Chrome browser, but developers have warned it is not stable and users should proceed with caution.
