Block Inappropriate Websites with DNS Angel

Posted by: Jon Ben-Mayor on 06/05/2017 06:25 AM [ comments Comments ]

DNS Angel blocks inappropriate websites using lists from FamilySafe providers Norton ConnectSafe, Yandex Family, and Open DNS Parental Control.

DNS Angel is portable allowing you to hide it anywhere you like on your computer. Once started you can choose to block Norton ConnectSafe 1, Norton ConnectSafe 2, Yandex Family, or Open DNS Parental Control. You can only choose one, and there's no real explanation about any of them so a little trial and error might be needed here if you're not familiar with the three family safe DNS providers. Even the Norton ConnectSafe 1 and Norton ConnectSafe 2 aren't clear exactly what's different.

If you want to revert your settings, you can choose default DNS or restore DNS. Once again, we don't know what the difference is. It sounds like the same thing.

DNS Angel is a free way to block inappropriate websites from your children although it is lacking information in the program as to how everything works.
