Two beer thieves were arrested after police say they attempted to steal cases of beer from a gas station in Santa Ana, CA. The duo were spotted by an alert station attendant returning to an Embassy Suites hotel after the second attempt.
As police arrived on scene the two attempted to escape by jumping balcony to balcony from the 10 story tall hotel building - this did not work out so well according to NBC Los Angeles as the two didn't quite make it safely to the ground.
One suspect broke his leg in several places and had to be rescued by firefighters using a hook-and-ladder truck to pluck him off of the hotel rooftop while amused hotel guests looked on.
"There were a lot officers," said Anthony Bertagna, a spokesman for the Santa Ana Police Department, laughing. "I don't know where they think they were going."
The suspects were identified as Gabriel Anthony Sauceda, 22, and Chad Alexander Walker, 20.
They were booked into custody on a burglary.
