The Daily Mirror reported that Paul Dixon, a 23-year old British man, was arrested in October 2014 in relation to attacks on British Airways. The DDoS attack took the airline off line for an hour.
He is facing charges of conducting a DDoS attack against the airlines, a game retailer and two police websites.
The financial cost to the airlines was estimated at an estimated 100,000 Euros while the cost to the gaming site was estimated between 400 and 500 euros.
He is scheduled to appear in court on June 14 where he faces five counts of carrying out unauthorized acts to impair the operation or access to a computer. If convicted, he faces 10 years in jail.
