Burglar uses bible to set car ablaze

Posted by: Jon on 06/20/2013 08:38 AM [ comments Comments ]

Breaking into a car most certainly falls under the jurisdiction of the 10 commandments; Thou shall not steal, but I am going to go out on a limb and say that using the bible to burn said car after robbing it probably will solidify your place somewhere very south, and very, very warm.

CBS Miami spoke with the owner of the car Maria Rodriguez, who said “I have nightmares about all this and thinking that it could have been worse.”

The burglar gets into an Acura SUV and uses a lighter to search for valuables. After a few minutes the man takes a bible from inside the car and sets it on fire.

“I cant comprehend how somebody could do something like that and have no care in the world as to the lives that he can be putting in jeopardy, we could have all burned here,” said Rodriguez.

He stole a Honda Pilot from next door which was later found by police ditched near the Miami Airport June 18.

Police are still looking for the man responsible.
