One woman in South Carolina had the brilliant idea for an April Fool's prank to pull on her out of state daughter - Angela Timmons called her daughter to report an active shooter stalking the campus of Virginia College in Spartanburg.
The prank caused law enforcement to mobilize on the school in full force, driving to the campus "at break neck speeds" according to Sheriff Wright. He also says that "we will not tolerate threats like this."
According to WCBD-TV, Timmons told authorities she sent her daughter the message that stated she heard shots fired inside the school.
Timmons told investigators she had pulled similar pranks on Aprils Fools Day in the past.
Officials say there was no evidence on her phone that she stated it.
Timmons was arrested and charged with disturbing school, breech of peace and unlawful use of the telephone, she was released a short time later on a $18,000 personal recognizance bond - no joke.
