Royal Canadian Mounted Police officers were forced to grab a ride with a snowmobiler in Red Deer, Alberta, after their pursuit of a stolen John Deere tractor brought them to a snowy field.
The Mounties were on the way to a residential break in call, when another call came in about a tractor being driven through multiple fields covered in snow.
Then, according to the National-Post, police gave chase after stopping a snowmobiler and being offered a ride, following the tractor as it crashed through farmers’ fences and stands of trees. I have to wonder if the snowmobiler made bee do, bee do, bee do sounds during the pursuit?
Finally, the driver at the wheel of the stolen farm implement, while trying to evade police, stalled it while trying to go up a hill.
When he tried to back up, he lost control and rolled the tractor, spilling the contents of the earlier robbery - multiple firearms and other items where located in and around the cab.
Police arrested and charged Jesse Cecka, 25, with breaking and entering, theft over $5,000, along with various other charges.
