A woman took the opportunity of an unattended cash register at a Chevron gas station in Florida to swipe some quick cash, but was surprised by the clerk and had to make a Cinderella-like escape leaving only her flip-flop behind.
She crawls cat-like through a glass enclosure to reach the register, checks a room out of the camera's view, and returns to the register and spends about half a minute carefully navigating the computer register's menu to open the cash drawer.
Scooping up the cash, she makes a dramatic getaway from the store clerk, who appeared just as she was about to wrap up. She lost a flip-flop in the fracas, and the clerk hit the floor when he lost his grip on her leg.
She's a white female in her 20s-30s wearing tight-fitting blue shorts with a white belt and tight-fitting pink shirt. She has shoulder-length, straight dark hair.
Atlantis police are enhancing surveillance footage of the gas pumps to get a clear image of the license plate on the SUV she drove.
