A man in Key West, FL., was arrested for possession of cocaine after police were called on a report of suspicious activity behind a local business.
When police arrived on scene they found several people on the property of the Pier House Resort. According to NBC-Miami, an officer saw 46-year-old Guy Lanchester stand up from a seated position and walk behind a "sign/flower pot to conceal his actions."
The officer approached Lanchester and noticed that he was holding a plastic bag containing a white powdery substance, when the officer asked about the bag, Lanchester stuffed it into a flower pot. The bag was retrieved and a field test for narcotics was conducted - the substance tested positive for cocaine.
Lanchester was arrested and transported to jail; while in custody he reportedly told police that he just didn't understand why he had been arrested, as he was not aware that coke was illegal in the state of Florida.
Lanchester was booked and held without bail.
