Cops bark like dogs to get suspects to surrender

The New Haven Police Department had to improvise during a standoff to coax two suspects, who were wanted for stealing a car, out of a house by literally barking like dogs.

After leading police on a lengthy chase that sped through at least 2 CT towns, the 2 men, both wearing masks entered a 2 family home that was familiar to the officers. The men holed up in a stairwell refusing to exit.

Negotiators were called in and decided to try and scare the 2 thieves into coming out rather than prolonging the standoff, so they said that they were going to send in the K9 units. The only problem with that is; the K9 units were not at the location just yet, but for New Haven police that is only a minor setback, the quick thinking officers began to bark loudly, yes bark.

The suspects so convinced that the dogs were about to be sent in, simply gave up, and walked outside into the waiting arms of police.
