A critical Remote Code Execution vulnerability has been discovered by researchers Mateusz Jurczyk of Google Project Zero, and Genwei Jiang of FireEye.
The flaw affects all versions of Windows including Windows Vista, Win7, Win 8/8.1 and Windows RT. It also affects Windows 10 Insider Preview.
The critical flaw (CVE-2015-2426) resides in the way Windows Adobe Type Manager Library handles specially crafted Microsoft's OpenType fonts. The security hole could allow remote attackers to run malicious code on your computer, thereby taking "complete control of the affected system."
So far, there are no such indications that the flaw is being actively exploited by the hackers in the wild. But the chances of exploitation of the flaw is high so users are being cautioned to update their systems as soon as possible.
