Cyber Monday Tops 6.6 Billion - Beats 2016 by over 1 Billion

According to Forbes, Cyber Monday hit a new record of $6.59 billion in sales making it the largest U.S. online sales day ever.
To make a comparison, Black Friday and Thanksgiving Day brought in $5.03 billion and $2.87 billion revenue respectively.
Wondering what everyone was buying? Junk. For example, top sellers include the Nintendo Switch, PJ Masks. Hatchimals & Colleggtibles figurines, Apple AirPods, streaming devices including Amazon Firestick, Google Chromecast and Roku, and the video game Super Mario Odyssey.
Adobe predicts that with sales of over $50 billion 2017 could be the first year to break 100 billion in online sales.
Another interesting trend Forbes reported was the mobile devices used to make purchases. Mobile set a new record representing 47.4 percent of visits (39.9 percent smartphones, 7.6 percent tablets) and 33.1 percent of revenue (24.1 percent smartphones, 9.0 percent tablets). Smartphone revenue specifically grew 32.2 percent from last year, reaching $1.59 billion, a new all-time high.
