James S. Allen, 38, a New Baltimore, Mich., man was sentenced to 262 months in prison for cyberstalking and producing child pornography.

U.S. District Judge Richard J. Arcara also imposed a ten year term of supervision once he is released from jail.
Arcara was found guilty of stalking 18 female victims in New York State between April and August in 2012. He also threatened the victims, many of whom were minors, in his attempts to get pornographic photos of them.
In all, he was found guilty of 18 counts of cyberstalking and five counts of production of child pornography.
According to the feds, he would make contact, then scare them, saying that he had naked pictures of them that he would post online and send to their relatives and friends.
U.S. Attorney Hochul reminds us all to keep these simple tips in mind: beware of strangers or individuals you don’t know who approach you online; do not post personal or identifying information online; and carefully monitor your accounts to prevent hacking or other related issues.”
