Doodle 4 Google contest - Winner to receive 30k scholarship

You have nine days and counting to vote on the 50 state winners that were selected from over 130,000 entries. The 50 State winners artwork are the top doodles from this year's competition.

Google asked students in K-12 to be creative with the theme of "My Best Day Ever", and to let their imaginations flow. The winner will have their artwork showcased on the Google homepage. As if that isn't cool enough, they will also receive a $30,000 college scholarship, and a $50,000 technology grant for their school!

Joseph H, Falmouth Middle School, ME, says that his "Best Day Ever" shown above, "didn't consist of ambitious dreams, but rather the enjoyment of a day spent in carefree euphoria. Being in the woods is something that evokes such happiness in me. The lighthearted joy of rafting, fishing or catching fireflies is what I've attempted to capture."

After taking a look through all the great artwork, I decided I would use the one Joseph created for the article as it was my favorite. I am more than happy to throw in a vote (or five) to help further someone's education!

Per Google - each person can vote 5 times - one doodle per grade group. Be sure to get all your family and friends voting!
