Police pulled over a man on a stolen forklift in the early morning hours Wednesday, the extremely confused man did not know how he came to be driving a forklift.
According to the report from AZ Central, an officer noticed the forklift headed southbound on Scottsdale Road. He pulled the vehicle over on Stetson Drive just west of Scottsdale Road. He approached the forklift and saw a man, who police later identified as 33-year-old Derek Jackson, sitting in the driver’s seat.
The officer asked Jackson what he was doing, and he appeared disoriented and possibly under the influence of drugs or alcohol, police said.
The man did not have an answer as to why he had the forklift, he told the officer he was going home after a party.
The man was then arrested for investigation of theft of the forklift along with DUI-related charges, police said.
