An ambulance technician was at the right place, right time and with the right equipment. The tech was wearing a carbon monoxide detector when he went into a Dunkin' Donuts shop in Carle Place, New York.
His detector went off, indicating high levels of the poisonous gas.
The store was evacuated. An investigation found a vent in one of the ovens was the problem.
Carbon dioxide is a colorless and odorless gas.
