Duo Plead Guilty to TalkTalk Breach

Matthew Hanley, age 22, and Conner Douglas Allsopp, age 20, have pleaded guilty to the breach of TalkTalk back in 2015.
They were convicted at the Old Baily, The Central Criminal Court of England and Wales, for the breach that affected 160,000 customers and cost the ISP an estimated £60 million in cleanup costs.
Hanley pleaded guilty April 26 to two offenses. He was charged under the Computer Misuse Act. His offenses included obtaining files that would enable the hacking of websites and supplying files that would enabled others to hack websites which included a spreadsheet containing TalkTalk customer details.
Allsopp pleaded guilty March 30th to supplying an article for use in fraud as well as supplying an article intended for in the commission of an offense under the Computer Misuse Act.
Sentencing is to take place May 31st.
