Enjoy Facebook like never before by managing your friends lists

I’ve noticed a trend of people getting frustrated by their Facebook ‘friends’ and this has caused them to use Facebook less, remove friends or even stop using Facebook but I notice they always come back.
You’re doing it wrong.
While many of you reading this are aware of how to tweak Facebook (because you’re reading this on Majorgeeks) it has become patently obvious that people of all ages are unaware of how to manage their friend’s list and really enjoy Facebook.
It’s as simple as this: You need to manage who your acquaintances, real friends and family are by deciding who you want to see posts from and who you want to see your posts. If you’re one of those ‘friend collectors’, meaning you have hundreds, or even thousands of friends, then this isn’t so easy. For the rest of us, it’s as simple as using Facebook like you do now, tweaking your friends list as you go.
You do this by moving your Facebook friends to ‘Close Friends’, ‘Acquaintances’ or ‘Restricted’. By doing so you can decide what you see and what your friends see from you. Here’s what you do:
When someone makes a post and you want to manage that person, click on their name. Click on the word ‘Friends’ as seen in the photo below. The easiest thing to do is move that person to ‘Acquaintances’ so you don’t see so many posts from them. It is also a great way to manage close friends and family. You can also create new lists, though that’s rarely needed for much.
You can also enable notifications here so you’re notified when this person posts. This is nice for keeping track of someone who rarely uses Facebook and you don’t want to miss their posts. Another area this is handy is Facebook fan pages like Majorgeeks, since Facebook has decided it’s up to them whether you see your fan page posts or not (hint: they rarely think you do).
As mentioned originally, this also works for making posts and letting you decide who sees that post as shown in the photo below. This is a great reason for separating out family from friends, for example. You can share personal family photos with your family and not those pictures of you doing body shots last week.
Now you can finally enjoy your Facebook news feed! Leave your own tips in the comments below.
