A Montgomery County Fire & Rescue truck responding to a fire in Silver Spring, MD., became a blazing rocket of flames and smoke; a mechanical issue caused the engine compartment to catch fire.
The truck pulled over and another Montgomery County unit that was with the truck put out the fire. No one was injured in the blaze.
The original fire that they were en-route to was also successfully put out with out any injuries. Authorities continue to investigate the cause of both fires.
